Adding a line to my verizon plan without upgrading to share everything?

I currently have the Verizon nationwide talk share 1400 plan with two lines on it. I want to add a 3rd line but don't know if I would be forced to upgrade to their share everything plan which is a total rip off. I'm looking to get the iPhone five on the third line then downgrading it to a old phone I have which does not require a data plan and switching the iPhone to a line I already have so I would only be paying 10 extra which is no problem compared to buying a phone at full retail (which I can't afford) as seeing its not time for my upgrade and my phone has been acting up since the Verizon ics update for thunderbolt which Verizon will do nothing about cuz my phone has been dropped in water before (over a year ago with no problems til update) anyways back to question will this work without affecting my existing two line? ANY INFO OR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE IS HELPFUL!

I used to work for Verizon and I can say this: they will not allow line additions or subsidized upgrades without being changed over to the "share everything plans".

  • Verizon share everything plans? My dad and i are thinking of going in on a verizon share everything plan i think he still wants a basic phone and i want an iphone. I was wondering for a basic phone and a smart phone to have a small data pool and unlimited calling and texting how much a month would we pay per person and total?
  • Verizon Share Everything Plan? I'm confused with this new plan. How much would one iPhone 4S and 2 basic phones cost with about 700 ish minutes and 250 texts per month with 2GB of data?
  • Verizon share everthing plan? I have a share everything plan with Verizon and I already have 2 iPhone 5 and a galaxy s3 so a total of 3 lines I'm thinking about adding another line I'm adding the s4 and I was wondering how much it will cost to add a line and if I do how much it will be every month were sharing 8 gb and the phone is 200$ will it be more
  • Upgrade with the Share Everything plan? I currently have an LG EnV Touch with internet access on it. I got it two years ago when the share everything plan hadn't started yet. Now that my contract is up and it is time for me to get a new phone, will my upgrade give me a "dumb phone" with internet or will I have to get a smart phone to continue to have internet access now that my family has the share everything plan? Also I was told that if i got the iPhone, it would be $50 a month? Is that true? Why or why not?
