Am I wrong for blocking him?

I'm 18 and gay, and I was talking to a 34 year old guy online. He lives like 35 minutes away from me and he wanted to meet up for lunch. I thought it was a little strange that he wanted to meet after only talking for a couple days, and I think the age gap is really big. So we have been texting for a few days now and we were supposed to meet tomorrow. Today I started to get worried that he is dangerous even though he hasn't done anything to show that he's dangerous. I just started thinking "what if". And I was already really nervous to meet him. So we were just having a normal conversation and I randomly decided to block his number from texting and calling me (you can do it really easily on the iphone) and I deleted my account on the dating app we first started talking on. Was I wrong for doing this without any explanation and without saying anything to him? I just didn't want to explain and I've been nervous about him the past few days. So I just wanted it to be over by blocking him completely.

Its someone you met online. I don't think you owe him that much of an explanation besides you only knew him for a couple of days so your fine! But you made the right choice not to meet up with him

  • Is there something wrong with my phone or is there something wrong with my mom's phone? Ok so when I attempt to call my mom, it doesn't ring it just goes straight to voicemail but doesn't show on my mom's phone that she had a missed called. My messages won't go through either, but her calls and messages come through to me. We both have iPhones and they are both on. I can text everyone else, call everyone else but her.
  • Is there an iPhone app for blocking calls and texts? I had an app on my last android phone called 'call blacklist' you could add numbers you didn't want to have text or call you. And if those numbers did, it showed it in a message log on the app. Is there anything like that for the iPhone? I really could use it.
