Hi I'm having problems with my apple store account when wana update me apps for the iPhone or download free apps it keeps saying there's a previous billing problem change method of payment… Why is this and is there any way I can solve this at all, please help its really annoying me: S

I have the same problem and Apple are useless at sorting it out only offering all the normal solutions of updating account details etc, none of which work. I don't want to buy gift cards i want the account sorting but looking like it is not going to be. So many threads with same problems going back years by now you would have thought Apple would have a solution to the problem. No idea why i was talked into buying an iphone I have only had it 3 weeks.

  • Why does the App Store want to know my billing information if the app is free? On my iPhone 4s, I try to download an app from the app store, first it'll ask for my password which is normal, and I put it all in correct but then it'll redirect me to my billing information/payment method and ask me to fill it out. I can't remember what my prepaid security number is because I haven't had it in so long so I can't do it. But the apps I try to download are completely free so I don't understand why this would happen. Is there anyway to fix this?

So the other day i bought an app with my moms credit card and it went through fine but now i can't downlod any free apps it pops up red and says enter billing info, but its free? Befor i bought the app i could always doenload free stuff without doing that?

And I have no money in my account (monthly pay lol) to put the details in and purchase whatever it was I was meant to have purchased, so when i add the details and press continue, it says there was a problem purchasing and then I'm back to square one.
