Added (1). So this guy bought a 2-5c phones for him and his girlfriend and after a week he lost his and had to buy a replacement (a refurbished iPhone 5s from AT&T). After 2 months he and his girlfriend didn't like em and want Androids back. He sold his girlfriends on craigslist (I saw the link. Legit) and now he is selling his. In order for it to be unlocked he would have had to buy it full price from AT&T right? A leased phone would mean locked? Just don't want to get stuck with locked phone or bad ESN.
Added (2). I know the IMEI is clean at the moment… But I'm afraid that after I buy it, it could get a bad IMEI. What if he lied to me and bought it on lease(and not outright) and quits paying it? Wouldn't it be given a bad IMEI then? Is there a way I can find out if the phone has been fully paid for or not?
Ask him the IMEI of the phone and then check with the AT&T if the phone is clean or blacklisted. The phone doesn't come unlocked, you've to get it unlocked. For more info and for unlocking the phone, feel free to mail me.
