Can an iPhone 6 Plus be repaired under apple's limited warranty?

So today I purchased an iPhone 6 Plus from a person on Craigslist. I got a great deal on it. However, this device has a hardware malfunction. The Touch-ID doesn't work. Not to mention, there's also a tiny barely visible crack on the top right hand corner of the screen. The ring/silent switch is also broken. I looked up the serial number and fortunately this device is still under Apple's Limited Warranty! Is it possibly for me to simply take the device to the store and have it repaired or switched out? I don't think the owner realized he could have taken it to get fixed. And if so, does the apple-rep ask for my personal info to verify?

The warranty only covers defects due to manufacturing or materials.
A single crack, in some cases may be covered, but if it looks like it has been dropped, not good.
They probably to make sure you are the original owner also, so there's that.
Even still, they do flat rate repair type replacements for a reasonable cost if warranty doesn't cover it.
Regardless - go directly to Apple.

Cracked screen are cover I had a shatters screen and I took it to the store the replaced it for free and I had the Touch ID prob too

I've tried 3 other Apple chargers and none of them work.
  • Will Apple replace my iPhone 6 that is still under warranty? The home button on my iPhone will periodically stop working for a short period of time, then start working again randomly. Is this something that they would replace the phone for? I've had the phone less than a year.
