Can I activate a Stolen Iphone 4/ Verizon with no sim?
I wanna buy this iphone because it cheap and i really need a phone. Would i be able to activate it or not?

But i went on to verizon wireless and i typed in the MEID #.it said that it was ready to be activated… I want to activate it on verizon… I was going to make sure it wasn't reported stolen by calling costumer service… Can i still trust it even if its been restored and says its ready to activate?
Aside from the fact that this would be a really d**k thing to do, you can't activate it. That's because the specific phone you're asking about is locked to Verizon, can't be unlocked, and doesn't use a SIM. Its unique ID (EIN/ESN) will be marked as bad in Verizon's database. Phones with a bad ESN can't be activated.
- My iPhone 5 says I need a sim card to activate, and I have Verizon I was trying to restore my phone and in the process of doing that it now is asking for me to insert a sim card. I have Verizon and we don't require sim cards. What is my next step? Also, my phone has not yet been activated. This requiring of the sim card is keeping me from activating it.

I want to do the same and replace my 12 year old's flip phone. Verizon says I must purchase another data plan to activate this phone to my account. Any suggestions? Otherwise we're thru with Verizon.
