Can I activate an iPhone 5s that is bought unlocked from Apple?
I'm planning on getting an iPhone 5s in the near future. If I buy it unlocked from the Apple site, and it has no SIM when it arrives, can I activate it without the SIM? Use the phone without a SIM inside?
No, you will always need a SIM to activate.

You can remove it though after activating and use the phone.
- When I first got my new iphone, I logged in to my other apple id to get my bought things back. So now apple music doesn't work. What to do? So now it says "icloud can't be turned on because this device is already associated with another account" and it's mad annoying. Apple music delets some of my songs or majority of them and I can't turn on icloud for music.
- If Apple sells unlocked iphone 5, can i activate one on virgin mobile? There are rumors that Apple will sell unlocked iphone 5's both CDMA and GSM versions, would I be able to activate one on virgin mobile usa?
- I just bought an iphone 6 from someone and can't activate? I just bought an iphone 6 from someone and can't activate because my sim is not supported or something. My sim doesn't have a provider anymore and got disconnected. If i take my moms sim and put it in for activation can i activate it and then take it out after. Will i still be able to use the phone without a sim if i activated it already?
- I bought my iphone 5 from apple at Christmas and it said unlocked? I've been on a orange sim only deal since I got it and my contract runs out this month. I want to move to 02, so will I be able to buy another sim only deal or will I need to unlock it again? I bought it unlocked so will it be now locked to Orange since I'm on orange?
