Can I remove jailbreak without getting rid of iOS 5.1.1 (iPhone 4)?

I'm trying to buy an iPhone 4 for my dad for christmas, and he really wants the google maps ap, so I'd like to get one with iOS 5.1.1 rather than iOS 6. However, neither of us are tech savvy, so I would rather not gift him a jailbroken iPhone. If I buy a jailbroken iPhone online with iOS 5.1.1 and restore it (get rid of the jailbreak), will it also get rid of iOS 5.1.1?

Keep in mind that I'm not even sure this question makes sense because… I don't know much about jailbreaking whatsoever. But thank you regardless.

Added (1). What is the "original iPhone 4"? If I buy an iPhone 4 from AT&T right now, it will come with iOS 6, right?

No, the phone will be up to date, restoring the phone gives it the newest updates, hope dad won't be sad.

I don't know good question. You mean master reset it right? I know that if you update it to ios6 it will lose the jailbreak but ios6 sucks. I think youll stay on ios5 if you restore it tho. Because all its doing is restoring not updating
