Can I safely update to ios7 without the original SIM card?
Guys i have an iphone 4s running ios 6.1.3 and I'm wondering if I can update it to ios7 without the original sim from Verizon, right now I'm just using it like iPod,.by the way I'm from the Philippines and the phone was just given to me.

Should be OK. The OS is held in the phone memory, not the SIM.
On Verizon the 4s doesn't require the sim to be programmed. It uses CDMA so the sim is only for international travel outside the us on a gsm network. You don't even need a sim inside the device. So update to your hearts content. No worries, friend.

- Do i need the original sim card to unlock my iPhone 3gs? I got an iphone 3gs from my mate, but want to get it unlocked from a store because i'm on O2 not whatever her network was on. Do I require the original sim card in the phone for them to unlock it? Can I leave my O2 sim card in the phone while they unlock it? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
- Can you switch the iPhone 4 SIM card with an iPhone 4S SIM card? My mom has an iPhone 4S for sprint and I have an iPhone 4 for AT&T. Is it possible to switch SIM cards?
- Can you put a cut sim card into the old sim card slots? I have an iphone 5 and my sim card is cut down to fit into it. I want to be able to use my sim in my old nokia brick phone as well though because i'm attending a heavy metal festival next week and don't want my expensive iphone to get wrecked in the mosh. Just wondering if its at all possible.
