Can I upgrade to an iPhone 5, 6 months before my upgrade, with Verizon?
I'm really wanting an iPhone 5. My currently phone was a cheap one that they gave me for free. No data, just really plain and simple.
I want to switch over to a plan with data, so it would be costing like $15-30 extra a month.
We always always pay bills on time, never have broken a phone, and have been with verizon for around 12 years.

No they would not. I had the same problem - it really stinks.
Just buy the phone from Apple, and bring it to Verizon… They'll activate it for you. You don't need an upgrade to do that. I did it and everything works perfectly.
No. You can't upgrade until your current contract expires (A year and 1 half I believe).
Actually you might be able to. Call and ask. If you have been a customer for that long then you may have this ancient thing on your account called an "early upgrade". They did away with them awhile ago, but if there was one on your account, they left it there. You pay like $20 on top of the price of the phone to upgrade and viola! I just did that in March. Definitely call and ask. You also may be able to avoid the "share everything" plan since you would be doing an alternate upgrade meaning a basic phone to a smartphone. Talk to them.
- Iphone 5 early upgrade for AT&T in less than 2 months? Do you think At&t will give a full discount to upgrade to an iphone 5 less than 2 months early. I'm not eligible for the full discount until Dec 25 this year. I know they changed their rules regarding early upgrades but that's for people upgrading to a new phone less than a year.
