Can I use a verizon iphone 5 with a bad esn in Laos?
I heard that although it has a bad ESN in the states, the phone should be able to still work with a carrier over seas with no problem. Just plug and play. Can I get a confirmation?
The negative esn list is only for use programmed on Verizon's network. So there's no telling. You can't program it with Verizon's system.
Verizon iPhone 5 comes unlocked for any SIM so it will work fine in Laos but there's a chance that the IMEI of the phone has been blacklisted too so you've to check that and if that happens, then you've to unblock the IMEI and then you can use. Check online for unlocking and unblocking the iPhone 5.
