Can I use an iPhone without a data plan? - 2

I want to order a used iPhone 5c off of Amazon. However, I want to use it like an iPod. Is it possible to use it with no data plan, use my current Apple ID, and just use Wi-Fi?

Yea just turn cellular data off in settings. Then get a prepaid talk and text plan. If you go monthly be sure they give you the option to completely disable data. So you aren't charged in case you accidentally turn on data.
