Can I use AT&T iPhone 5 on Straight Talk?
I purchased an AT&T iPhone 5 off a friend who wanted to switch back to Android. I do not believe the phone is unlocked, but it could be. How would I check to see if it is or isn't? If it is not do i need to unlock it, if so how do I do that? Does Straight Talk have nano sim cards for purchase? Or would I have to cut the sim down to make it work? What is the best way to go about it? Does anyone have experience with this situation? I have an iPhone already and I don't want to pay 600+ dollars just to buy Straight Talks version at Walmart just so I can pay $45 a month.
Hi Mateo - I'm actually not 100% sure about how you can find out if your friend's AT&T iPhone is unlocked. Though, I did find a discussion about it in the Apple community that is pretty helpful.

I'm familiar with Straight Talk though, and they currently do not allow users to bring iPhone 5's to their network outside of the Wal-mart deal. They don't sell nano SIMs, only micro SIMs.
I know you already purchased the 5, but if you were willing to have a 4 or 4S you wouldn't have a problem getting on the Straight Talk network.
- Sprint iPhone 4S, can I use on straight talk? I just bought a sprint iPhone 4S, I called straight talk and asked if it would work if I got a straight talk micro SIM card and if I would get service everywhere I do now with my AT&T android, her answer was yes it would definitely work. I've seen a million different answers on google tho. Has anyone tried this or is doing it now? Please give me and answer and explanation.
