Can I use my iPhone 4 with Straight Talk if it currently has a plan with AT&T?
I'm currently on an ex's family phone plan and they stopped paying their bill. I'd like to start using Straight Talk but I'm not sure if it'll work since my phones on a contract. It's been shut off but I was wondering if I could unlock it and then buy one of those SIM cards from Walmart?
I think the phone will be black listed until the balance is paid off with ATT, but not positive. However, you need to check the Imei number of the phone. Put "Imei check" in Google and you'll have many options to check if the Imei number on the phone is good or not. I don't know where the Imei on an iPhone is located, you'll need to Google to check that out. Good luck.

walmart only sells tmobile ones.
you can buy a att compatable one on ebay for $30 or so.
or you can unlock your iphone so it can use the walmart tmobile ones.

I plan on buying the phone unlocked from ebay or craigslist for about $200, as AT&T's plan is too expensive for me. I also plan on using straight talk on it, so I will be paying around $45 a month. So my question is, would it be worth it? I'm not really interested in the iPhone 5 or 4S at all.

- How to switch AT&T iPhone 5 to Straight Talk, Keep old Straight Talk number? I bought a used AT&T iPhone 5 off eBay today for my girlfriend. I also bought a NANO Sim for Straight Talk. She wants to keep her old straight talk number. How do I switch everything over so data, mms, etc works and she keeps her number? There's lots of different info out there right now, I just want some definitive instructions on how to make the switch properly.
