Can my ex get his old iPhone blocked?
My boyfriend and I broke up a few weeks ago and ever since he's been abusive to me online, resulting in him threatening to call EE (his phone network) and getting my iPhone that he gave to me blocked for good. Can he do this? And if so, can I make the phone so it is unblocked without losing all of my stuff on the phone? My phone is an iPhone 4s.
Lesson: don't be completely dependant on a guy
Yes he can block it if he reports it lost or stolen as he is the one who bought it. It is illegal to unblock the phone(changing imei number) but it's only block in that country. I can be used normally in other countries.
You will not lose the stuff on your phone, you will just not be able to make/receive messages and phone calls as you will have no service.
So it can be still be used in the same way as an iPod touch.
As long as the account and contract is under your name, then you have nothing to worry about.
- Will blocked numbers on my iphone stay blocked when I get a new iphone? My girlfriend blocked a number of a person she wasn't supposed to be talking to. She swore up and down she did. She got a new phone and months later that number called. Did she lie to me. She uses the same icloud account, the same phone number.
- Today my dad upgraded to an iphone 10, and because he has the forever iphone plan he was able to keep his old phone and he gave it to me? I synced all of my apps and contacts from my old phone, a samsung, to the new one, when I texted one of my friends, I found out I was sending messages through my icloud address and I had no service. Is this something I'll have to call my carrier about to switch my number, or can it be done manually and from the phone's settings. If the it's the latter, what steps would I have to take?
- My 16 year old son won't give us his iPhone password, what can we do about it? I want to know what he texts to his friends, sort of spy on his thoughts kind of thing. The thing is he bought the phone with money from his job and he pays the bill, it's prepaid. He refuses to hand over his phone or the password. He says if we try to take it away he will defend his property using force. What can I do? I really need to know what's in that phone!
- Is there any way I can use my deceased father's iphone X even though I don't know his password or his e-mail password? My dad passed away recently. He had a fairly new iPhone X. I'd like to use it as my own phone but I don't know the passcode. I watched a video on how to restore the phone but I still can't use it because the phone is connected to an itunes account… And since i don't know his e-mail password, i can't reset it. I went to AT&T (where we were on a family plan) but they said they can't help me. Is his nearly new phone destined to be a paper weight?
