Can you use a Sprint iPhone 4S on a Verizon network?

I recently bought an iPhone 4S. The thing is though… I have sprint. LOL!
So yeah, that's not good because even though the sprint people told me I get 3G at my house, I looked online and I do not. Idiots.

If I were to switch to Verizon, could I give them my Sprint iPhone 4S and have them connect it to the Verizon network instead?

Is every Apple iPhone 4S the exact same thing? Or do they manufacture each iPhone knowing what kind of carrier it's going to be on making the parts inside different?

If you bought a phone from one carrier an want to switch to a different one just go to metro pcs and have them flash it for 20 dollars and you can use it for any carrier you want

If it's from Sprint or Verizon, you're locked down. Just because it's the exact same phone doesn't mean you can trade like that. Sprint and Verizon have a technology(CDMA) that doesn't allow phones to be unlocked.

The iPhones on Sprint and Verizon are identical, and the ones on AT&T and international carriers are identical. Those are the only pairs.

If I were you, I would get AT&T, because since they have SIM cards, the phone can be unlocked and used on any carrier that uses SIM cards worldwide. It's worth it! I have AT&T and my friend (who has TMobile) and I traded phones for a day. He had an unlocked Sensation 4G with a SIM, so I could put it to full use on AT&T.
