Cheapest way to have an Iphone?

I currently have an iphone 4 and I've completed my contract with AT&T. I would like to upgrade to an iPhone 5s.
Would it be cheaper to buy the phone itself and make it a prepaid? Or is it cheaper to have the contract? Also, am I able to keep the same phone number if I were to switch to prepaid? Any advice, ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Just buy a prepaid iphone 5s, its slightly cheaper.Yes, you can keep the same phone number if you switch.

It will be a lot cheaper if you go prepaid with StraightTalk. They have $45/month unlimited everything plan which is like half of what you'll be paying on AT&T and funny thing is that they use AT&T towers for coverage. Get the iPhone 5S unlocked and use it on StraightTalk. You can also port your current AT&T number to StraightTalk. If you need unlocked iPhone 5S cheaper than retail, mail me.

  • What's the cheapest way to get an iphone 4 right now? I don't know much about phones and plans so i don't know if it would be cheaper to buy the phone used on craiglists and then get a plan or to get the plan and a phone from some company. Not sure what's the cheapest way to go. Any advice? What companies have the best plans?
  • What's the cheapest way to get an iPhone 4s? I'm just trying to figure out how much it would cost for an iPhone 4s with unlimited texting, minimal talking and enough data to handle some casual twitter/facebook/google stuff. Any tips or tricks on how to shave down the price are appreciated!
  • What is the cheapest way to use my iPhone while studying in France? I will be studying in France from February through June. I have an iPhone 4s and I'm currently using at&t. I've heard there's a way to buy a pre-paid sim card? The main reason I would like a cell phone while abroad is to communicate with friends in France. I plan on using Skype to talk to anyone in the US.
  • What is the cheapest way to get my iPhone 4S cracked screen replaced? Poor Student needs phone screen fixed. I asked Apple but they are charging £120 for a new screen. Outrageous? Anyone any ideas?
