Connect a usb to another computer's usb port over the internet?
OK so i have a computer at work and a computer at home. Now i want to be able to plug my usb into the work computer (via a usb port), but i want my home computer to recognise it as if iv plugged in my usb to the computer at home. I want to do this over the internet.
For example: i want to plug in my iphone to my computer at work, but i want my home computer to recognise as if that it is plugged in to it and it will work in itunes
No, that simply isn't a goer. It is possible in some situations to arrange something close to this at higher levels - a network disk in this case - but iTunes won't like that since it opens up the possibility to compromise the DRM.
- Why port forwarding on port 80? I have a foscam home security camera and it needs port forwarding on port 80 if I want to use my iphone to view it from outside. Surely enough, it works as soon as I open that port. But isn't port 80 open by default? Else how could I view http websites in the first place. I don't get it. It's already open so why open it again?
