Do I have a criminal case against this kid, what will I have to do with this thief?

I have had 3,000+ in backpacks, jackets, bongs, cash, computers, and iphones go missing from my house.

Just the other day I located my phone and traced it to an apartment complex. My roommate later caught this thief trying to break in scared the kid into giving up his name and let the kid go because he was 14-15 years old.

We found the kids facebook and his mom/guardian from pictures and then my friend suggested to look her up on white pages and she lives in the apartment complex that my phone got stolen from.

The police want me to come down to the station and set out the pictures and then they said they can hopefully make and arrest.

If this kid is arrested what will happen? He is 14-15 and has stolen $3,000+ out of my house and I want to press charges. This kid keeps coming by and trying to break in even after we caught him.

Added (1). This kids mom does infact live where my phone was taken so I have reason to believe its been this kids robbing me all along.

He will probably be arrested for a short time frame. Theft is illegal, but he is just a kid. Next time get a gun, and point it at him (completely legal because he is trespassing). That would scare him away for good.

Go to the station and talk to the police so they can make an arrest.

So what is your real question? Yes, you should cooperate with the police or get off the pot. No you should not be concerned if he ends up in Juvie as you are probably only 1 of many he has stolen from… So I honestly see no question here that should concern you.

Yeah, call the cops. Leave out the part about the bongs

You are unlikely to recover even a small % of what was taken. And his Mom probably has an ideal of what he has been up to.

The real question is will he stop this type of activity or continue to do it or do worse? I say, he will keep trying to score bigger. And he already considers your place as his ATM - a place where he has gotten by with withdrawing money and items.

If you press charges you have a chance of recovering some items and maybe getting him locked up for a while to prevent more crimes.

Thing I would ask the police, is due to the repeat crimes at your location can they put up a hidden camera, motion activated, that records events. That way, after your next robbery the kid can be charged with video proof. Once he is arrested the police removes the camera to use on someone else. If cops don't have a camera, they have them.called trial cameras in sporting good at Walmart for about $70.

You've asked this question before and now you're changing details around. That makes me believe you're just another lying troll.

  • Why does every little kid have an iPhone these days? It gets pretty annoying. I don't even have a phone yet, and I'm 15. These kids are spoiled. Anyone agree?
  • Why does every kid have an iphone 5 these days? I don't have any of that lol. I own a Samsung corby 2, bought from an airport in korea. My friends have iphone 5's and are really proud of it, so proud they laugh at me (sarcastically) for not having an iphone. And every high school student has one. They're so common they make the galaxy s3 look like a regular phone. i'm not trolling
  • Is it bad for a poor kid to have expensive things? My parents are low-middle class but i always buy expensive clothes so i can look good and fit in with the other kids. I feel guilty doing this, but i just want to fit in. Almost everybody in my school has smartphones, so i bought an iphone. Need to fit in but i feel so guilty. I don't want to empty my parents' bank account. btw i beg for all the stuff, my parents didn't want to get it for me. I feel even more guilty.
  • Is criminal ever spelled crymanil?
