Do I have an iCloud account?

I'm so confused. Does having an iPhone mean you have to have iCloud? Are emaile, photos etc on the iPhone all through iCloud, or is that an extra thing? Because I have photos and all but my sister set up the apple account and stuff for me, so I'm not sure if I have iCloud.

You have to set up an iCloud account, or an Apple ID. If you have one or the other, you should be set.

Yes, by default you have an apple ID and account and you used it to setup your phone. You don't have to use it if you don't want to, for example you can backup everything in itunes etc. You can sign on at http://www.icloud.com/...icloud.com and see what you have backed up if you use icloud. You use your same ID for find my iphone.

An iTunes account and an iCloud account are two different things. Try logging into this to see if your iCloud is turned on. By default it's not and users must activate their own when they want. Best luck.
