Do you memorize a workout routine before you go to the gym?

I'm looking to start going to the gym on my own but I'm just wondering how people keep track of what they're doing. Do you take your phone or some paper with you with all your exercises laid out so you can remember to get through each? Do you choose exercises on the fly? Do you memorize your routine beforehand?

I don't have my phone on me when I work out (it's an iPhone 6 plus so it's a little too big to carry around and there's no gym band for it) and carrying paper around with me will get bothersome quickly while moving from machines or workout spaces - not to mention my water bottle has ice so it'll likely wind up wet.

So far all I'm coming up with that will work for my situation is writing it on my hand or something.

I just memorize it or go to a mat area and have my phone up with exercise apps with lists of exercises, but writing on your hand is just that easy but make sure it doesn't sweat off!

  • Will the 7 minute workout app make you stronger? I just recently bought the 7 minute workout challenge app, and I read some articles online that say it will help you lose weight, but it is not good for becoming stronger. I didn't know if this was real and I have been doing the workout 2 times a day hoping to be stronger. If this workout isn't good for muscle, what is a good app for the iPhone that have workouts you can do at home to get stronger (without machines)?
  • What SAT vocabulary lists should I memorize? I just signed up for the May 2013 SAT. I'm almost done memorizing the words in Princeton Review's Word Smart I. I should finish it by the end of March. However, I feel that it is not enough. Can you please link some SAT word lists that I should memorize to score well on the vocab section of Reading? Any other tips? Helpful iPhone apps? Any tips are useful! Thank you. I want to get as close to 2400 as possible!
