IOS 8 is still new and Apple haven't fix all the bugs yet which means it will lag a lot. Wait about 2 or 3 weeks after the IOS 8 release only then you update it. I updated my Iphone 5 to IOS 8 and trust me it save a lot of battery just like when my phone is in IOS 6!
The iPhone 5S has more than enough power to run iOS 8 without any problems.

I'm on a 4S whereas the A5 Chip may not handle the new update, and a 5.8GB update on a 16GB iPhone may as well not be worth it. My parents (both my mom and my dad) own an iPhone 5S. The update for them wasn't worth it because 5.8GB for few improvements and few tweaks. But hey, these are opinions, not facts, so you may as well give it a try. Unless your 5S is 16GB or less. Personally, I think that the iOS 8 is worth it, I just love it because of the Health app and the predictive keyboard that comes along with it. And you're lucky to have an iPhone 5S, that's a really sexy phone!

It is up to you as I iPhone 5 the only thing is it does interfere with iPhoto as I found out when I did upgrade as it seem not to be compatible so I did remove it as I thought if it does not work why have it but I did transfer my pictures first and there are a few changes in settings and Icon is added and when text or e-mail you will see the change also when deleting texts apart from that all seem to be ok.
Wait until they've ironed out the bugs, people have had their phones data deleted after installing IOS 8.
I have a 5c and I'm yet to download it. Someone told me to wait a while till Apple fix the bugs on iOS 8 because apparently it's quite buggy, so I'm waiting a bit. Don't know about you.

I have a 16gb iPhone 6, and it come with iOS 8, and I only had 11.6 gb to work with as soon as I got the phone with all of the software installed. - Recommended Kanji Dictionary iPhone app? I'm looking for an iPhone app that is a Kanji dictionary where I can write an unknown kanji and it will give me the meaning. I would prefer it if it works even if the stroke order is wrong because I'm not always sure about how to write it. I just need it solely as a dictionary. Teaching/quizzing me isn't necessary Free is the preferred option but I will buy it if it's good.
