Does Apple warranty cover digatizers?
I'm 15 and my iPhone broke. It's an iPhone 5 and when I tried to take my school ID out of my back pocket i guess it got suctioned onto my phone and fell face down on the floor. It didn't crack but it has lines doing through the right side.
I can't buy a new one so I'm trying to renew the warranty but I wanna be sure it covers the digatizer before I do. 
Warranties are for manufacturing, materials and design defects. They're not insurance policies against accidental damage.
The exception is if you're paying for AppleCare Plus, which combines an extended warranty with an accidental damage policy and technical support package. Even then, you'll have to pay an excess (US = deductible) which could well cost pretty much the same or more than getting a non-Apple repair shop to replace your digitiser screen for, and definitely more than doing it yourself. Obviously, a non-Apple replacement will invalidate the AppleCare warranty with respect to screen related failures and if you're outside of the USA it invalidates the entire warranty.
- Will apple still cover me with their 1 year apple warranty? My uncle gave me his iPhone 4S as a gift, it has warranty until November 2013 and for some reason the phone turns off by itself about every 3 hours! The phone does not have any water damage as the water indicators are white, will apple still cover me on fixing it or giving me another one since I'm not the original owner but the phone is still under their warranty!
- IPhone 5, what does my limited warranty cover? I have an iPhone 5, and the lock button doesn't work very well, and, I want to fix it. Does my limited one year warranty cover it? Can I fix it myself?
- Iphone 5 screen broken does the 1 year warranty cover it? Broken my iphone 5 screen i.e. Cracked and i was was wondering if the year warranty it comes with will cover a replacement or fix free of charge cause its says its( Repairs and Service Coverage: Active) cause i really don't have a spare 120 to pay for it to be fixed
- If I replace the back cover of an iPhone 4s, does it void the warranty? I'm thinking about taking my white back cover and replacing it with a green one off amazon (because mine is cracked). But I was wondering if it will void my warranty.
