Does having a lot of devices connected to your Wi-Fi slow down the Internet?

I have a ps4, iPhone, 3ds, PS3, smart tv, laptop, desktop and much more. Does this slow down my Wi-Fi?

If they are all on at once, yes.

Not necessarily. If they aren't being used but just logged into like PSN, then it will be using a minuscule amount of your bandwidth. Video streaming, downloading, and uploading things really kill your bandwidth. Since you have so many devices, you might want to consider upgrading your internet plan. You can call your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to find out your speeds. I'd recommend anything over 50mbps Down and 25 Mbps Up. With a plan like that, you'll have plenty of bandwidth to go around and it won't slow it down too much(Unless you're streaming videos and stuff on multiple devices).

No - Only downloaded / uploaded data can affect bandwidth, which can slow down Wi-Fi

Merely, connecting devices does not affect Wi-Fi

Definitely yes! An extender or repeater would help to boost Wi-Fi signal to upstairs. Or you can try to turn another laptop into a hotspot with My Wi-Fi Router software. Also these software would help you to boost Wi-Fi signal well, http://www.mywifirouter.me/topic/four-of-the-best-wifi-signal-software-you-deserve-faster-wifi-speed/

  • Why does my internet slow down when my iPhone is charging? Whenever me or my family are either charging their phones with the Wi-Fi on or our laptops with the Wi-Fi on, the internet slows down incredibly. What are the causes? Once we take off the Wi-Fi and charge it, the internet is alright.
  • What does it mean when your internet says connected with limited access? I have a windows vista that's 2008. My house internet went down yesterday so I had to take the plug out of the internet and plug it back in after 10 minutes. Then everything worked but today my laptop says connected with limited access but my iPad internet and iPhone works fine. So what to do? I tried everything on google but it didn't work. My sister said its like something I downloaded but I didn't download anything since like 2 weeks. So what to do?
