Dropped iPhone 4 charger cable in coffee?
I was moving my laptop and my charger cable popped out of the USB and the 32-pin end that plugs into my iPhone fell into my cup of coffee!
I grabbed it RIGHT away and ran to the bathroom and cleaned with with toilet paper. I was very thourough, getting INSIDE the end of the charger.
It's been sitting on my bed now for 20 minutes. I'm too scared to plug it into my iPhone, but it's the ONLY charger I have!
Would it be safe for me to try plugging it into my iPhone?
How long should I wait for it to dry completely after I dried it?
:( I'm really nervous. I can't afford a replacement at the moment, and my boss needs to be able to text me!
I'd wait at least 5 hours.
If I get a phone wet, I set it in a bowl of dry rice. I don't know if it would help for this too.
That will probably be fine, the chord is not the phone. I would not charge it for 24 hours though, make sure its completely dry so it doesn't damage the iphone.
Maybe you can use dryer to dry it quickly and check whether it's working or not. Otherwise get another cable from shop it is very cheap to buy.
- How to Siri: Remind me when my last cup of coffee was? How can I dictate with Siri into iPhone (6S) so that it stores the last time I had a cup of coffee? The reason is I'm trying go cut down my caffeine intake, and so before I have another cup, I want to ask Siri, "When was my last cup of coffee?" (eg 5 hours later). I don't want to do it with a pencil and paper or enter it into a note. If there's a way to use Siri in that capacity, that would really be awesome to learn.

- I spilled coffee on my iphone 5c? I spilled a lot of coffee on my iphone today. It works perfectly fine, I turned it off and soaked it in rice all day, but this message shows up that says "cable is incompatible with iphone" but it's not plugged in. There's no cable. What should I do? It also does this little freeze thing, I think it has a glitch, should I put it in rice for more time? Should I clean it out?
