Dropped iphone 5 into toilet?

I had the otterbox so the screen protected it and the phone got barely wet I pulled it out right away and dried it and turned it on. Everything's fine except the sound of music or video is low and cracky please help

You should use some pressurized air on the speakers and the water should come out.

This is gonna sound crazy, but a hair dryer! Yes a hair drier. If there's a cold setting, use that, if Not, use a low heat setting. Don't keep your phone close to the dryer. Just close enough to dry the earphone/ charger areas. It should dry it and you'll be fine. Next time it's probably best not to take your phone with you while on the pooper. Lol hope this helped

To dry your cell phone take off any removable parts and the battery, then put it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours to absorb all the water.

Doesn't always work, but it's the best way.

  • If I dropped an Iphone 3gs into a toilet, what parts of it would probably work? Ok so I dropped an Iphone 3gs in the toilet, I'm trying to figure out which parts of it still work so I can sell them. I'm wondering if the lcd screen will still work after being submerged in water? Can the glass and digitizer still work?

  • I dropped my iphone in the toilet and after it went all black and won't turn on? I had dropped my iphone in the toilet and it was fine for about 2 hours then it just went black and won't turn on. What do i do to fix it?
  • I dropped my Iphone 5 into the toilet? It was in my pocket then it fell into the toilet. I immediately took it out and dried it. It works fine, no problem. At first there was a problem with the speaker but now its fine. But it says "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably" even though I'm not using any. Is it safe to charge it? I turned it on and off and this is the only problem I have.
