Dropped my iPhone 4 in the toilet will it be ok?

I dropped my iPhone 4 in the toilet with the case on, it couldn't have been in there for more than two seconds. Immediately I took it out, took of the cover and towlled it off. Then I try tour it on, it flickered on, telling me there was no sim, then flickered on and off before going completely off, I held down the top button, to turn it off but nothing really changed and continued to try and dryit off. It is now fully covered in a bag of rice where I'm going to leave it for at least 48 hours, do you think it will be ok? Or do you think it knackered?

Probably will be ok

The moment you turned it on after it had got wet was the moment you blew the main board. You "should" have waited at least 72 hours before trying to turn it on. You may be very lucky and it may start working but don't hold your breath.

I can only tell you what I would do. I'd take the phone apart, place it on a turned on radiator to dry it out. Don't leave it unattended though. Is it insured?

Hard to say the first thing to remember is NEVER TRY TO TURN IT ON immediately. PUT it into the bag of rice or those emergency bags the sell now immediately take it apart as much as you can first. [iphones and some others you can't] ie remove the back and battery.

After 48 HRS then turn on to see if it works! Usually they will but not always. If you have a 300-800 phone it is worth $60 for a life box/otter box to protect!

You can never really say! You really will have to wait and see for yourself i'm afraid sometimes people are lucky but more often than not the phone will not function again 100 percent but you may be one of the lucky ones.

Put it in rice

Good thing it was not a nokia.
