Dropped my iphone 4s in water? - 2
I dropped my iphone 4s in my 4ft pool. It was in the water for only a few seconds. No more than 10. When I got it out, the screen was just fine. In 15 seconds, it began fading and then turned black. I've had it in rice since then, but it's clear that rice doesn't seem to work with iphones. I don't really want to guy buy some kit. I'd rather get a new phone. I can go get a new one for free since mine was backed up and all. But I just wanted to know if there was any way I could get it to work. It still vibrates and makes noises when I get messages, but the screen is black. Any help? I'll get a new phone if no ideas work. I'm just curious. Not stupid.
It sounds like you need to replace the sceen but that is kinda a kit thing I guess but it's not that hard
If your contract is up then just get a new phone because everything is backed up, and it coasts less money. If you have a warrantee you can try to see if apple will fix it but probably not. Also once i dropped my iPad and it faded black. I thought it was totally broken but i just held the home and lock buttons down for like one minute and it turned on. If that dosent work then i would just get a new phone because you might need to buy a part to fix your old phone which will probably coast just as much as a new phone.

- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- I dropped my iPhone in water - 3 I just dropped my phone in water about a minute ago(it's 9:25 PST). I hurried up and got it out dried it off as fast as I could. It was working fine until now. It keeps popping up "charging not supported on this device" and also I just found out the sound isn't working! Now I can't even listen to all the money I spent on my songs. Is there anything to help this? I was thinking I can back it up on iTunes? Would that help? I don't know I just need major help please.
