First contract! Iphone 5s or 5?

This is my first contract! I've always been on sim Only, I've ordered the iphone 5s for £189 upfront and £32 a month but is it worth it or should I buy the iphone 5 for £499 and then £12 a month sim only? I'm 17 and only have a part time job, I really need some help!:/

5S is of better quality and it even has siri. I would choose 5S

If your question actually had any details as to what you wanted out of a phone, I might have been able to suggest to you which was a better deal. Also, what does "sim only" mean? You really didn't describe your alternatives. With the discount on the 5S added to the more expensive plan, I see the cost of ownership of that newer phone exceeding that for the older one by £70 after the first year, and £170 after 2 years. That's how I crunched the numbers. That works out to about £6-£7 extra per month.

In my opinion, I would choose the iPhone 5S because simply it is better than the iPhone 5, and… Why wouldn't you want a newer version, show it off to your friends! Lol.

  • Will buying an iphone in contract and unlocking cause contract immediate fee? If i buy a iphone for example on att contract and unlock it, will att charge me what's left on the contract or will i just go by like nothing happened and free of contract? I haven't seen this but it makes quite a bit of sense for companies… Not sure if they do however.
  • Which is better iphone 5s plan, contract or no contract? I want to get an iphone 5s but i don't know if it's better to get a contract plan or a no contract plan. I would be having to pay every month with a contract and that's annoying. Yet with a contract i wouldn't have to pay that much for the phone would i? If i got the non contract i would get to pay the bill when i want but i would have to pay full price for the phone.
  • What happens if I don't make the first payment phone contract? I took out contract on Vodafone for Iphone 7. Haven't made first payment and my sim has been restricted. Can only get incoming calls. What happens if I don't pay A friend said if I make no payments i'm not tied in the contract
  • Should I get iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S? No contract or with contract? I don't know what exactly is so much better with the 5 compared to 4S? I'm thinking to get it with no contract because I'll be in Europe over the summer so I'll need another contract over there for a few months so that likely wouldnt work if I got a 2 year contract here in the US is the 5 much more expensive than the 4s? and does the price vary a lot if I buy with/without contract?
