Forgotten my iphone passcode?

I changed my iphone passcode but now I can't remember it. I've done this before so I knew to go on itunes and back up and restore my iphone, but this time it won't work. After clicking on restore it begins to restore it, but a message comes up on my screen saying that it can't back up my iphone, as my iphone is locked with a passcode and that I should type in my passcode. But I don't know my passcode! This is so frustrating, does anyone know how I can get past this?

Your probably going to have to take it to a apple store.other than that i have no clue.

First of all, you have to back up your data:
- Sync your iPhone with iTunes.
- Update your iTunes.
- Restore your phone.iTunes will prompt for a backup before restore process begins.

In your case, if you are unable to restore your phone, you have to:
- Make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes. (If not, you have to download it) >> Launch iTunes
- Ensure that your phone is disconnected from your computer >> Power it off by holding the Sleep / Wake button until a red slider appears and slide the slider. Wait for it to be turned off.
- Press and hold the Home button while you reconnect iPhone to your computer using the USB cable. Keep the Home button depressed until you see a pop up in iTunes saying that iPhone is in recovery mode. You can release the button at this moment.
- Click "OK" and follow the rest of the instructions. Please note that NO backup of iPhone will be done in this moment as in the case of normal restore.iTunes will then proceed to restore iPhone using your previous backups.

If you are still unable to restore your iPhone, you have to remove iTunes:

For Mac user, please delete the followings files:
- /System/Library/AppleMobileDevice.ke…
- /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/De…
- /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mo…
- /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mo…
- /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mo…
- /Library/Receipts/AppleMobileDeviceS…
After that, restart your Mac and install the latest version of iTunes >> Do the normal restore again

For Windows users, uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes from your system, restart the computer and re-install the latest version of iTunes and try to restore again.

After doing all these, if you are still unable to restore your iPhone, you can try to create a new account and login-in using the new account and try a restore.

  • I've forgotten my iPhone 4 passcode, what should I do? I recently changed my iPhone 4 (iOS7) passcode and I've forgotten what I changed it to. Is there a way to bypass the passcode screen or just get rid of the passcode altogether? Also, if I were to restore the iPhone to factory settings then restore it from a backup of the iPhone, will it still keep the passcode?
