Found an Iphone 4s what should I do?

I found and iphone 4 on the street. It seems to be smashed by a car. I opened it and see a message that says "This is a lost iphone" I waited hours to get a call… Nothing. Next day… Nothing. I decide to keep it. I don't intend to use it as an actual phone anytime sooner but what should I do next? I smashed the sim card and reset the iphone to factory settings. Am I still trackable?

Yes… Now everybody tracks you.

If the phone is still registered to that guy's iCloud id then it is!

You should have just called the cell service company and give them all the info about the phone they would have been able to get the phone back to the worried guy without his phone

Yes. The GPS is still there. Can't get past the activation lock anyway. So pointless to try to keep it.

  • Just found an Iphone 4s, should i keep it or sell it? - 1 I was cleaning my truck and found it. I let it charge for a bit turned it on and found out it belongs to a relative. I'm leaning towards returning it to them but the calls/messages are over a month old so they may a have a new one by now. But the little devil on my shoulder is also telling me to keep it instead. It's way better than my current phone(pre paid). Lol if it didn't belong to someone i know i would keep without a doubt. But yeah.
  • I got an iphone 5. Found out it was stolen what should I do? I traded my ps3 for an iphone 5 but I found out it was stolen. I got a SIM card I gave the imei number and they told me its on tha black list or block list what is that? Can't I just activate the SIM card and put it on the iphone? If not then what can I do with the iphone?
  • I found an iPhone on setup mode! What should I do? So I was walking in the streets when I saw a phone it was an iPhone 4 with an otter box. I don't know if I should keep it or give it up? What should I do help please!
  • I found an iPhone 5 while snorkeling in the Lake. What should I do with it? There's a local tie-up at the lake and some friends and I went snorkeling to see what kind of treasures we could find. Typically it amounts to beer cans and sunglasses, but this time I found an iPhone 5. It was in a lifeproof case, but water did get inside. I dried it out for a few days, and somehow it comes on. The screen is kind of blurry from water damage and home button does not work. Suggestions on what I should do with it?
