Found out iPhone theft, now what?
I lost my iphone5 about 4 days ago. I didn't have find my phone on so basically everyone, including cops said "i'm ******". Now i went myself to security and asked can you go over the cameras and let me stay, I pointed out the iphone i dropped, they got the guy info and face who picked it up. They said they would get the guy, but now i'm worried because what if he doesn't have the iphone anymore as in, broke it, disassembled, threw it away. Can the perpetrator be held liable for the iphone? Like lets say that happened or i get my iphone back cracked, broken well i get compensated? Police are involved
Unless you have a 4 k video camera that shows that it wasn't cracked when you dropped it, you got nothing. He could say that he found it cracked.
Unless the cop catches him with the phone, you got nothing. What's to say that he didn't return it to the lost and found or bought it to the police station.
Consider it gone and move on. The fact you didn't even activate the find my iphone feature tells me it really wasn't that important anyways to you.
