Going to vacation: can i use 120 V on a 220V outlet?
I'm going to Turkey this summer and my father told me it has to be 220 V but EVERYTHING i have is 120 V. For example, my straightener, my electric shaver, etc…
I mean i bring my iphone usb cable and bring a plus converter and nothing happened before. What would happen if i just bring it and plug it in? Or do i need to buy a specific thing?
You need a step down transformer to convert the Turkish electricity (220 V) to 120 V. Otherwise your appliances will blow up.
Many things work fine on a wide range of voltages. If you look closely at your iphone charger (assuming its the standard Apple one), it says it works with 100-240V inputs. Check your electronics to be sure (not all work with 220V).

- Will a 110-220v iphone charger work in a 230v socket? I'm wondering if i should give it a try, or if it could potentially cause damage. If it did cause damage, would it be to my iphone, the power supply, or both?

- Using a 100-240v Iphone Charger at 220v? This may be a daft question BUT Will I be ok to use my UK Iphone charger in Greece (where the voltage is 220v) without a converter/transformer Obviously i will need an adapter I just wanna make sure my phone won't break!
- Is it okay to use iPhone electrical outlet for charging ipad? So my outlet's got broken I went out and buy a new one. And they said they only sell the small Apple ones. I was in a rush so I just took it. Is it okay to use it on my ipad 3 because I think it's charging slower than usual.
