What is a good device to use for traveling?

Between DSLR, Camcorder, and Smartphone. Which of this device is good to take Ultra HD Pictures plus Ultra HD to 4k Video? All in one combination, I know the all of them do the same but which is better. I need one that is not too bulky, more compact not too small. However, that can take awesome HD picture and HD/4K video. I know for a fact

1. The camcorder can record amazing video and you can walk while recording without any shaking in the video.

2. Camera (DSLR) can take an amazing photo but I'm wondering about their video capability.

3. Smartphone (Galaxy S8, Iphone 7, LG G6/v20 and above) can do both and probably can take some good photo and video too

To you guys which will be a good choice to take with you for traveling? I'm traveling to Vietnam soon and I need advice on which to buy. Any recommendation is appreciated.

Bring something not so noticeable one thing about recording devices, including cellphones mother ******* are getting jacked

I would suggest looking at mirrorless camera like the Sony Alpha a6300 (or A7R II if money is no object). These get you a bit smaller than DSLR but most all of the power.

DSLRs certainly have excellent video. Below is a link that shows some movies that were filmed in part (or a few in whole) on DSLR cameras.

DSLRs are not small and are relatively heavy and bulky. Look for a good point-and-shoot from Canon, Sony, or Nikon.

Methinks you are asking for a little bit more than you will be able to get.

If I had to travel with only one camera and wanted to be able to shoot 4k video,
my choice would be a camcorder.

Most or all camcorders allow selection of a still frame as a snapshot.
(Check the list of features for this, or ask the manufacturer directly.)

Otherwise, I would probably take a mirrorless.

You know what, I've tried various camcorders, and dedicated photo cameras, I now, do everything on an old, Galaxy S5, 4k video is very good, 16mp stills look crisp even on the 55 inch tv, and should it get damaged, being a 5, it will cost next to nothing to replace… Added 4g internet and the ability to make a phone call, It's still a cracking cheap all-rounder
