Grounded my son for a year is this appropriate b?

My son 16 purposefully wrecked into my brand new 2016 Honda Oddsey with his 2010 Subaru Legacy. He hit it good to because the airbags came out and the entire front end and drivers door were all smashed in. I found out from hearing a loud crash while I was asleep. Little did he know i have with our security system. So I looked at the cameras and I saw him smash it
So I told him your grounded for a year

That means no ps4 Wii U Xbox one iPhone ( I smashed them today )
No car
No eating out
No desserts
Only allowed to eat meat and bread and vegetables once per week
No pop
Only allowed to drink water
He's only allowed to go to the bathroom twice per day
I will have a bucket for him to go in after the two times are up
No bedroom door
No mattress
Since its summer he will go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 5am when I leave for work
Also he's not allowed outside
No getting Christmas presents in 7 months
No seeing fireworks on the 4th ( If he comes out I will extend his punishment an extra 8months
No going to La this year for vacation
No driving until je moves out
No books ( I shredded them today )
Do you think this is appropriate or am I too harsh? Any response will help!

This is appropriate. He needs to learn now before it's too late

I think its very appropriate, unless hes willing to pay for the both cars, he shouldn't have a problem.

Well done that dad, you done well.

In a question you asked 4 weeks ago you were a 13 year old boy. I think you need to sort out your identity crisis before you start enforcing over the top disciplinary measures on your imaginary 16 year old son.

Smart trolls make their profiles private.

I agree with you totally except the bathroom one.

You're either a troll or a psycho. I've asked troll questions before myself so it's okay though.

That's messed up

Everything is fair other than the bathroom and food things. Those are dangerous for his longterm health. He could technically starve to death or develop disease from lack of a balanced diet. He should have some fruit in his diet. At least a couple of pieces a day because his blood sugar could get really messed up. He can't be punished if he's dead so yeah lol. You may want to get a health consultant about his meals or even put him in boot camp to make it easier on yourself. Boot camp is probably your best choice actually. I've known it to really improve a person and make them much more disciplined and mature.

Are you freaking serious?

I think it's fine except for the eating and Bathroom part.

That is absolutely ridiculous! That would be insane due to a 16-year-old child! I'm sure he feels awful. Punishments are fine, but that is way too harsh.

Way way 2 harsh!

Was he drunk/high? Was he texting? What was he doing that he shouldn't have been doing?

How is this related to IPhone Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)?

Well as a perspective of a kid. This is a harsh punishment but some where good like: no fireworks and no vacation. Maybe shouldn't have smashed the electronics but put them In a safe.
