HOME BUTTON IPHONE 4 NOT WORKING?

My home button on iPhone 4 is unresponsive. I've tried to blow it and clean it with alcohol. Also tried the assistive touch, but i'm uncomfortable with it. Are there any other ways to fix it?

1. Open any stock app. (Weather, Reminders, Stocks.)
2. (When the app is running) Hold the Lock button until "Slide to power off".
3. Let go of the Lock button and keep pressing the Home button until the app closes and you're in the Home Screen.

Sometimes it works. If I doesn't you will need to replace the Home Button.

Here are 2 methods that you can try to fix it:
1) Calibrate your Home Button, Launch the Clock Application, hold down the sleep button until you see the "Slide to power off" option appear, when it does let go of the sleep button and hold down the home button. If the app closes, you've fixed your Home Button because it was only a software glitch

2)Realign the Docking Port, the docking port could have gotten misaligned and moved the home button along with it, Plug the USB cable into your phone, then gently push down onto the 30 pin connector and this will push up on the Home button, while applying the pressure, click the Home button. Remove the cable and see if your Home button is functioning again

IPhone 4 home button becomes unresponsive due to dust and the moisture after prolonged use.
