How bad are iPhone 5 chargers?

I've had my iPhone 4s since 7 months and I still have the charger that came with it! I treat my charger like my animals because everyone says they break so easily! My advice, do not roll the charger up like always carry it so it isn't buckled up! 2. Don't pull on the chord when trying to take it from the wall because you can damage the wires! Mine works perfect!
I have no problem with the chord that came with my 5S, I don't know how people are breaking theirs unless they are just grabbing the chord and yanking it out all the time, which I guess is what most are doing.
- Why is it that my iPhone chargers stop working? I've purchased several chargers this year and after about a month, they stop working and my latest one says that the charger isn't supported with this accessory.Am I buying the wrong charger? The chargers that I buy on amazon say that they can be used for any iPhone or iPod. I have an iPhone 4.
- Why do Iphone chargers (especially iphone 5) not last very long? I can never keep a charger more than a couple months without it breaking or ceasing functionality. It doesn't matter if I'm using the charger mostly in the office, in my car, at home, etc. Is this a scheme by manufacturers to keep charger revenue flowing or is this the universe's way of telling me I use my phone too much?

- Is buying a iPhone with Bad ESN bad? I want to buy an iPhone 4 or 4s but it says bad esn. I'm not going to activate the phone to any provider. I just want it for Wi-Fi for home use. Is it bad to buy it or okay?
