How Can People Just Graduating Navy Bootcamp Afford To Get IPhone 5 Phones?

I see a lot if people who just graduated Bootcamp, and arenow in "A" school with new iPhone 5 phones. How are they affording them?

They make about 1500/month and have no pretty much no bills at all. Live in the barracks… No rent. Eat at the chow hall, cheap food.

You mean people who have just spent the last 2 months not spending a dime? Yeah… I wonder how?

Clue. Get one

Probably saving up, or getting it as a gift.

Once new sailors are out of boot camp, they should have enough money in the bank to afford iPhone 5. Then later on, the sailors will go on to spend the money on iPhone 6, 7, 8… And many other electronic gadgets. And much later on, many of these sailors would hardly have any saving at all when they leave the service.

The bigger question is can they afford the monthly payment for the two-year contracts most of those phones have.

While they are in school they get room and board and have no expenses. They save their money and can buy a phone.

(Cadets at the US military academies save their money too and usually buy a new car when they graduate. )

  • Why do people say they can't afford iphones? My mom has been jobless for many years and my dad is stuck at a dead end job and they still manage to buy me expensive smartphones, expensive brand clothes, etc. I even have 2 computers. And i'm not spoiled because i will get a good job in the future and pay them back, but if i can afford it, then most people can afford it.
  • Install cracked Apps, without Jailbreak. On a mac without Bootcamp So i spent the last 4.5Hours raping google for some sort of solution but failed:/ As said in the title i need to know a way to install cracked apps on a non-jailbroken iphone 5. I'm on a mac so 25pp & Koaeyang etc won't work. Usually one could use parallels but because i have problems with the bootcamping i need an alternative! • I really want to upgrade to iPhone 6 Plus but just can't afford it. Should I leap to Android? Currently have an iPhone 5 and while in an apple enthusiast, I hate the small screen size. I would LOVE the 6 plus but just can't afford it at $750 and I'm considering going for the new Nexus which will (hopefully) still be $350. But there are so many things I will miss about Apple. I love the app designs and iCloud and the way everything is so smooth and lag free and how Siri works so well and we'll just how COOL iphone is
  • How do people afford the new iPhone each year? Since a new iPhone usually comes out once a year and most carrier plans are for two years how can so many afford the new one? I feel like with the price of the iPhone off contract being so high it shouldn't be hard to say you can't afford it but somehow there are still so many that do… Do they know some trick to get a cheaper iPhone or what?
