How does iPhone Factory Unlock work?
Can anybody here please tell me how iPhone factory unlock works? I mean third party unlock service providers just ask for name and IMEI number and provide unlocking service in a few days. How do they do that? I mean how do they put that in Apple database? I would appreciate your help.
It removes the network lock (Service Provider lock), and makes the I-phone as sim free Phone… If you going to get Unlock service from service provider you need to provide the details IMEI, Model to them. If you going to get the service from Online sites, You need to specify brand, Model, Imei number, Network and Country its locked now. Then only they send unlock code or give unlock service to unlock your i-phone. If service provider will give code, they get the code from their network database.

- Is there a difference? Icloud unlock & factory unlock? I've never had an iPhone, what's the difference in factory unlock & icloud? I've seen something about original owners, is it impossible for me to get an unlocked iPhone and simply make a new account and place a sim card inside?
