How long do I leave my iPhone in rice?

I was drinking soup and my phone fell is. It was in its case (otter box commuter) and only the bottom parts (the speakers and part where you put the charger in) got wet. I already turned it off and put it in a bowl of rice. Is there anything else I should do? How long should I leave it in the bowl?

Leave it in for 2 weeks and then attempt to operate it if that faild another two weeks and repeat until youre phone seems better

Leave it 3 days… And hope nothing got water damaged, at least you didn't turn it on.

  • Will I mess up my battery in any way if I leave my iPhone 5 dead for a long time? I was grounded and my mom has my phone and I don't know when ill get it back but its dead and has been for two days. If I leave it dead for too long, will it affect my battery or phone in any way?
  • Water logged iphone? How long do I leave it in rice? My iphone SE was sitting in a big puddle on the counter for about 15 min before I noticed. The phone was still in working condition but had a few dark and blurry spots on the screen. I went to get rice and the spots seemed to have spread. I put rice in a ziplock bag and completely covered my phone in the rice. The bag was sealed and I'm wondering how long I need to leave the phone inside? I need to use my phone the next day and I'm not sure if it will be alright.
  • How long should I leave my wet iphone in rice? I was pouring milk into my cereal bowl this morning, and the milk container ended up pouring all on my iphone 4S. When it got wet, it wasn't completely soaked, but it's not like it was just a splash of milk either. I think the milk managed to get in some of the cracks. I really don't think it is as bad as an iphone being dropped in water completely, so I'm thinking that I don't need to keep it in rice for as long. How long should I keep it in the rice?
  • How long should I leave my wet iphone in rice? - 1 It only had a little water on it, maybe a 1/8th of a cup. I dried it off as fast as I could, and turned it off. I got my brother to take it apart, and dry some of the main parts. The back is still off of it, and both of them are sitting in the rice. Since it wasn't dropped in water, and its apart in rice, how long should i leave it?
