How to access iCloud backup for iPhone?

Recently my 4-year-old daughter managed to change the passcode on my iPhone 4 and neither of us have any idea what it is. I don't want to restore it because that erases all of your information and I have all my work info on my phone. I didn't back it up to my computer but I did back it up to iCloud. How does that help me? If I restore it can I somehow access iCloud on my computer and download all the information on my phone back? I really need help I'm using my phone notes for a presentation tomorrow!

I think you should first restore or erase all data before you can restore from an iCloud backup.

So what you should do is restore it via iTunes first. After restoring is complete, you will be taken to a couple of steps to setup your iPhone, like language selection and etc. Then it will ask you if you want to set up your iPhone as a new iPhone or to restore from an iCloud backup. So you choose resore from iClod backup and your phone should be restored.

I think you can get the same thing if you erase all data and settings on your iPhone (I'm not sure about that though). But theoretically the iPhone should ask you to setup your phone after a data wipe.

Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
  • Does iCloud Backup Take up more space then iTunes backup? When I backup my iphone on iCloud it takes up 4.7GB of iCloud Storage. When I backup my iphone on my mac with iTunes it only takes up 2.3Gb Apple webstie says itunes backup will backup your phone exactly as it is and that iCloud only backs up important information. So why does backing my iphone take 4.7GB of iCloud space but backing up my iphone with itunes takes up only 2.3gb of space on my mac?
