Can i activate a jailbroken sprint iphone4s ios 6.1.2 using my iphone Verizon or at&t sim card from my other iphone4s (this one is not jailbroken)

It says " your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailabe. Try connecting your iphone to itunes to activate it and i did but it says no sim card founded and i do have a sim card, an at&t one and i try resetting the phone to restore it but no progress!

Like full on broke nto covered by insurance… I found a Verizon iPhone 4 for sale for like 70 bucks in great condition from someone on craigslist. If I buy that, can I go into Verizon with it and have them activate it for me and have it be my new phone? Does this make sense?
