HOW TO ACTIVATE AN IPHONE IF ITS STILL ATTACHED TO PREVIOUS OWNERS CONTRACT?

My aunt gave me her iphone 6s plus because she broke it so i got it fixed, when i went to get it activated for me the guy at sprint said its still attached or connected or whatever to her contract/phone plan, therefore he couldn't activate it for me. I have NO Way to get in touch with her AT ALL, so please don't tell me to call her and tell her to cancel her plan. What ELSE can i do myself to be able to activate this phone with a new sim card and number and everything? I have the apple ID and password to the phone, because everyone in the family uses my apple id, so if that helps or has anything to do with it, i just wanted to make that clear. So, i can't get in touch with her, she's older and doesn't really know how to deal with anything so even IF i could, she probably wouldn't cancel the plan anyway, but i DO have the apple id and password if there's any way i can make the phone work through icloud or find my iphone or something, as i've read articles saying that it's possible, but i don't know if those articles are about the same situation i'm in.

She would need to switch phones on her plan (why didn't she if you have her phone) or if she is under contract she can't just cancel.

FLASH the phone it give you a clean imei, it usually cost like $15, go to a cellphone store not sprint.

It's possible your aunt never finished paying for the phone, in which case it'll never work until it's been paid off.

Even if paid for, it's still registered to your aunt. In order to activate it as your own, you'll have to establish that YOU are the new owner, and that will be difficult or impossible unless SHE releases the phone from her name. Until then, it appears to Apple that you are trying to activate a stolen phone.

Well… You " aunt "…( if she truly ever owned the phone )… She needs to end her contract… This could mean paying off the phone… Early contract termination fees… All these little good things…
Because right now sprint thinks you have a stolen phone…

  • Received post from previous owners? My mum had signed a package thinking i ordered it and opened it and asked me about it. I told her i didn't order anything and then she checked the address and it turns out it is someone who we believe lived here a few years ago. It was an iphone xr which came in the post. What should we do and who do we contact? We do not know the person who it was for apart from their name, btw.
  • My iPhone is attached to someone else's account? I just bought a used iPhone online and I revived it only to find out it's attached to the sellers account. Can I reset the phone and just sign into account or will that lock the iCloud?
  • Is the facebook for mobile attached to the iphone app as well? I use facebook for mobile i have a android. I noticed i also have iphone for facebook on my page but i don't have a iphone and i have tried to get rid of it but it doesn't work Just wondering why i have iphone app since i have android
  • Is a contract attached to the sim? It sounds so dumb, but I'm super paranoid so hear me out. I got my iPhone a year ago with a 24 month contract (unlimited texts, data and 500 minutes). I want to buy a new phone, and I'm just ensuring that when I get one, my contract will still be fine. Like - I could put the sim into the new phone and my contact would work the same and at the end of next year I could still get my upgrades. Would it work? Would I still get my upgrade?
