How to change the default Google search engine to American on my iPhone?

I have the language on my iPhone set to Italian. However, I'm residing in the United States, and for the sake of convenience would like my default search engine in Safari (Google) to be set to the regular Google.com, rather than Google. It (Google Italy).Is there any way to change this without changing my language to American English so that when I want to search on American Google I can do so just by using the search bar on the upper right-hand corner rather than having to type in "google.com"? I've looked in settings and changing my region doesn't help me. I'm sorry if this is worded in a confusing manner, and thank you in advance!

Google uses your I. P address to determine your location and therefore deliver results. If you are in the US try and activate your location services to reset your safari preferences(cache).

  • WHAT IS THE IPHONE'S DEFAULT SEARCH ENGINE? For some reason mine changed. I don't know what happened. I want the default one but I've tried changing it to yahoo, google and bing but none of them look familiar/similar to my old one. I have the latest version of IOS and i have an iPhone 4S. I've never changed it before please tell me which one.

  • IPhone changed default search engine? Okay so I'm gonna try to explain the best I can. So usually I tap on my safari app and when I go to sear something in the search bar, it's by google. Today, when I went to go search a topic it was bing who was my search engine. Hopefully this makes sense. I don't remember doing anything to switch my search engine from google to bing… Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do to change it back? I really don't like bing.
