How to clear the other data on an iPhone?

My storage space was 4.0GB left. Then it suddenly just dropped to 412MB left. I don't know why, but I'll bet it's because of the "other" data, as the apps and photos and stuff take up only enough to allow 4 GB left. Where'd all my space go and how do I clear this "other" data?

Go to icloud, or go to the apple website or contact them, including Telstra, see them

Other data can be all your messages and email that you have deleted, including those with photos and vidoes. They take up a lot of memory. Clean out those that you no longer need. How about documents or spreadsheets? Do you have lots of reminders or calendar entries?

Sometimes it helps to simply turn your phone off (hold down the Sleep button for about 5 seconds) and back on again to let it get rid of garbage.

Search shows several things you can do -> http://www.justtext.com/messageboards/20151218142333.html?y1215 Even turning off and back on may take care of it

While it would be nice to know exactly where all our storage space is going, there are just too many things that require physical storage that labeling all of them would result in a bar that stretched much father than what your computer screen would allow. First, we should learn what's the "other storage". And mostly, it's seems like it's filled with cached files and data. That can include:

Documents & Data
Safari browsing data
Mail data
iTunes data, including files that have been streamed (which can be BIG).

Here are some methods for you to free up space on iPhone.
1. Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History & Clear Cookies & Data. This takes up a surprising amount of space if it isn't cleared on occasion.
2. Go to Settings > General > Usage > Here, you'll see a list of apps that are using your space sorted from the app taking the most space down to the app taking up the least space. Right from here you can remove apps that are killing your storage.
3. I would recommend backing up photos and videos to your computer regularly than deleting them from your phone. Plus you can limit music to what you actually listen to regularly.
4. If you don't want to delete apps or other data, you can try some professional softwares.iMyfone Umate is an efficient tool. It can free up your iPhone space and speed up your device by two steps. Not only can it deeply scan your iPhone and find the junk files which need to be deleted. But also it make lossless photo compression to save your space. You don't even have to worry about your photos will be ruined because the compression is lossless and your original photos will be backed up automatically to your computer! Take a shot.
