How to connect an Iphone5 to a 2012 Chevy for GM Music Connect?

I have a 2012 Chevy Camaro and when i had my iphone 4, we were able to connect it when i brought it to the dealership, i don't know how or remember how; now that i have an iphone 5 and same car, i can't remmeber how to wirelessly connect the phone to GM Music Connect; does anybody else know?
p.s. I'm able and do have it connected to the bluetooth for phone use

Ahh, this is so familiar. I work at a GM dealership and see this problem all the time. The iPhone 5, along with many other newer smartphones had problems with connecting to GM radios in newer vehicles.

I would assume your vehicle is still under warranty (3 year/36k mile) which would cover issues like this. What I end up doing mostly when encountering problems like these is reprogramming the radio. This can only be done at a GM dealership. Also, while you're there, ask them for a list of compatible phones for your vehicle.

It shouldn't take too long, most of the time I can have the radio reprogrammed and phone connected within an hour or so.

After that's done, on your iPhone, if you look under settings - bluetooth, you should see options for sharing contacts and music. Make sure they are turned on. Once your phone is connected to your radio, there will be an option for Bluetooth audio on the source list. Select it, and you should be good to go.

If your vehicle is out of the bumper to bumper warranty, don't worry. Reprogramming usually costs around $125, so it won't break your wallet.
