How to create a contact for someone sending me a text message from e-mail?

I want to create a contact on my iPhone for someone who sends texts from their email account to my number. It comes up as 999-999-9999 and not their email or name. My service provider is Telus Mobility in Canada.

Get them to send you a text containing their full mobile number, highlight that number and then save it to contacrts

Set up a contact with their name and 999-999-9999 as their number. All texts sent from email or from the Telus "send a message" webpage will show the 999 number. Of course, this will only work if they are the only person to send you texts by email.

  • Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
  • Why isn't my iPhone sending text message? So my iPhone won't send TEXT messages. IMessage works. Other people can send me text messages but whenever I try to send a message, it says "message failed to send" or something like that. I have lycamobile carrier and nothing like this has ever happened. I have restarted my phone and all of that. I changed nothing in settings.
  • When I text other iPhones why is it sending as a text message? I have an iPhone 4 I was on AT&T and I just switched to straight talk. In my setting I have all the iMessage and everything turned on. Sometimes it will work whenever I text another iPhone but most of the time it won't. I have tried turning the phone off and back on. It's really irritating. If someone could help me that would be great.
  • Sending pictures through text message? My first smartphone was an iPhone 4 and I didn't have data so I could only send pictures through iMessage. Now I have a Moto G 3rd Gen, still no data (don't want it). But I thought I could finally be able to send pictures? It's saying I need data even though my plan says unlimited text and picture messaging… Is this a thing?
