How to delete songs on iOS 7 for iphone?

I've done everything that has been suggested, such as going to general>music>show all music (off) and it helps and narrows down my songs and allows me to delete some of the songs, but not all of them. Some of the songs just won't delete, and won't even show the Delete option once a swipe. I don't see any difference between these songs that won't delete and others that will.
Is there any other way to delete them? Maybe delete all of my songs on my phone? I want to start fresh

You actually swipe right to left. I got confused too since in iOS 6 is the opposite.

  • Will upgrading from iOS 5 to iOS 6 delete ANY data? I want to upgrade my iPhone 4 from iOS 5 to iOS 6 DIRECTLY FROM THE iPHONE using the software update option in Settings >> General. Will doing this delete ANY contacts, emails, apps, notes and calendar reminders? I'm MOST concerned about CONTACTS. I have more than 1000 of Contacts.
  • Will downloading IOS 9 delete the storage that iOS 8 took up? I have a 16gb iPhone 6, and it come with iOS 8, and I only had 11.6 gb to work with as soon as I got the phone with all of the software installed. My question is: will downloading iOS 9 delete the iOS 8 data, thus freeing up more space after the download because iOS 8 took up more storage?
