How to download my music from my Toshiba laptop into my iPhone?

I downloaded music into my laptop and whenever I plug in my phone in, it takes me straight to the photos app and won't give me an option on what to do and it doesn't have the USB icon on the bottom left corner so I can't use that either…

once installed, open it, add your downloaded music into the itunes list (just drag the files into the iTunes window)
then connect your iPhone, open up itunes and 'sync' your music into it from the iphone page in itunes

Did you install itunes on your pc?
