How to get my old apps back on my Iphone 3GS?

I have the right apple Id login but when i try to go on purchased and then not on this iphone then the iphone will try to load it but then will go on to my main page and it won't try and load it anymore. Please tell me, what should i do?

The Only Thing You Could Do To Fix This Is Just Back You Iphone Up To Icloud Or Itunes Depends If You Are On Software IOS 5.1.1 Or Above. And Do A Full Reset And Then Just Try To Download The Apps Of The App Store After That If You Are Using The Same Apple ID That You Used To Purchase The Apps This Should Just Come Up With A Message As You Click Download That You Have Purchased This App Would You Like To Download This App For Free And You Just Click Yes And Bobs Your Cousin. Hope Everything Works Out
